With our next holiday only a week away, I really felt I first had to write a post about our visit to the beautiful
Chatsworth House and Gardens in England last May.
We started our tour visiting the impressive house, where at that time the lovely exhibition
House Style exploring five centuries of fashion and adornments at Chatsworth was held.
(you can still visit until October 22nd)
This was our view when we entered this stunning place ....
I really think I was born to late, seeing all those gorgeous dresses ....
Keeping our head also up high ....
Lots of rooms to watch from the inside ....
Would settle right away for this en suite bathroom ....
I bought some wrapping paper at the Orangery shop inspired by this lovely wallpaper ....
One of the many rooms with a view ....
Table and textile details of the Gucci exhibition at Chatsworth ....
Even fell in love with the tiles in the public toilets ....
After a lovely mooch around the house and shop we went into the Garden(s) and our first sight was the beautiful Cascade ....
The Labyrinth ....
With Tulips everywhere ....
And we met a lot of wildlife on our way ....
Also a lot of exceptional Sculptures ....
But my absolute favourite was the Cottage Garden, and now I also want just an entrance as this one in our front garden ....
Serious greenhouse envy ....
Lovely details and views at the Kitchen Garden ....
And again so many enchanting Bluebells ....
So very happy to find the last package of Bluebells seed at the shop, just waiting there for me ....
Not long now before we leave for France.
Where we, besides having a holiday, also will be sourcing for new brocante items for the shop.
Like this Vintage French Table Runner which is very popular at the website right now ....
In the meantime the Shop will still be open, but any orders made after August 16 will not be dispatched until September 4.
For now I just can't wait to enjoy a warmer climate and less rain.
The last few weeks I've been playing rescue with my late mums Rose Tree,
in order to save its gentle flowers from the rain ....
And made a lovely display in this small Jane Hogben Daisy Jug ....
Hope to see you here again in September, a bientôt!
