A valentine welcome ....

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from a shop specialised in gifts (and gift ideas) based in the USA with the question if I was interested to share my ideas about reusing holiday decorations in view of upcoming Valentine's Day.

To be honest , I was quite (happily) surprised if only because it was the first time I've been approached in this regard.
But the additional deadline and more important, feeling quite happy being "my own boss" on my blog, made me decide not to participate.
I think, because their request made me start thinking about transform my Christmas wreath into a Valentine theme, it would be decent to mention Patience Brewster for giving me the inspiration.

So this morning I replaced the Christmas coat from my wreath for a Valentine one with the next items ....

First I covered the wreath with new moss and made a notch where the old pot would have to fit in.
I used winding wire to attach the pot to the wreath and filled it with floral foam covered with moss.
By using flower-stem wire I filled the pot with (could it be otherwise) red anemones ....

Well me and my home entrance are fully prepared for the occasion .... do hope my better half also  ;-)

Enjoy the rest of the week and have a lovely Valentine's Day!
